· Born in 1957 in Northern Ireland
· Started his career in London -Gaining a reputation as one of the UK’s leading news photographer.
· 1986 – Was invited to join in a proposed new national newspaper, the independent becoming a core member of an award winning editorial team.
· 1989- Left the paper to concentrate on long term documentary photography
· Has been shown in numerous international festivals and exhibitions
· He has won awards such as the world press photo and the interfoto Russia’s leading contest for professional photographers
· Known for generating his own projects
· But is also known best for classical 35mm photojournalism
· Does shoot medium format for portrait and documentary photography
· Has the reputation as one of the most versatile photographers working today
